Description
The BC547 transistor is an NPN (Negative-Positive-Negative) type bipolar junction transistor (BJT). In this configuration, the transistor has three layers of semiconductor material: two layers of n-type material separated by a layer of p-type material. The three terminals of the transistor are the Collector (C), Base (B), and Emitter (E). The NPN configuration allows current to flow from the collector to the emitter when a small current is applied to the base terminal.
