The INMP441 is an exceptional omnidirectional MEMS microphone, designed to deliver top-notch performance while maintaining low power consumption. It offers a complete solution comprising a MEMS sensor, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital converter, anti-aliasing filter, and a standard 24-bit I2S interface commonly used in the embedded projects. This I2S interface enables direct digital connectivity to microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP8266 and ESP32 without requiring analog inputs and audio paths, eliminating the need for an audio codec within the system. Boasting a high signal-to-noise ratio of 61dB, the INMP441 excels in near field applications, ensuring clear and accurate audio capture. Its flat wideband frequency response further enhances the fidelity of natural sound, resulting in a highly defined output. With its digital I2S interface, the microphone achieves high precision 24-bit resolution. This is a great option if you want to enable audio input for the new Home Assistant Voice Assist.
